Professor Jinbo Zhou
Professor Jinbo Zhou is Vice Dean of the Economics and Management School and Director of Business Consulting Center at the Guangxi Normal University, China. He was previously Head of the Department of Business Administration of the Economics and Management School from 2006 to 2015. Professor Zhou currently holds a Visiting Professorship at University of Chester.
Professor Zhou is a reviewer for the British Academy of Management Conference, Chinese National Social Science Foundation Project, Humanities and Social Sciences research project of the Ministry of Education in China. He is a mentor of Chinese College Students Venture, reviewer of College Students Challenge Cup business plan contest and leader of Excellent Teaching Team of Guangxi Normal University. Prior to becoming an academic he held various positions in an electronic company for four years.
Professor Zhou is highly regarded for his work in research and theory development in entrepreneurial team and international entrepreneurship. He has completed a project of National Social Science Foundation of China (2012) and a key project of National Social Science Foundation of China (2016). His current interests focus on international entrepreneurship, international innovation and global management education.
Professor Zhou Ad hoc journal reviewer of Acta Psychologica Sinica. He has written and published over 100 articles and papers and 10 books. His latest books are Research on the Performance Mechanism of Multi Level Entrepreneurial Team Decision-making Model (2013), Management (Second Edition)(2014), Guangxi Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Case(2013), Case Study of Management(2012), Guide of Business Venture and Entrepreneurship(2009), and Regional Innovation Engine and Business Growth(2009).
In 2014 Professor Zhou was awarded the honor of Guangxi Ten Hundred Thousand Outstanding Talent in New Century for his distinguished contribution for his research on entrepreneurship, was awarded an Excellent Achievement of National Social Science Foundation in 2012 for his contribution to the research on entrepreneurial teams. He is a master’s tutor at University of Liverpool, doctoral advisor at Liverpool John Moors University, and holds a Honorary Fellowship in University of Liverpool. In 2016 he took-up an International Research Excellence Award at University of Chester for two months to research international entrepreneurship between China and the UK.
