Gary Davies Professor of Business Strategy Gary Joined the BRI from Manchester Business School in 2017. His links with Chester date from 2015 when he was appointed as a visiting professor. His academic career has involved sponsorships from Tesco, Asda and the Post Office. Before his academic career he worked with the Mars Group and British Aluminium. He also acts as a consultant in business strategy and reputation management. Qualifications: BSc, PhD (London), PhD (Manchester), DIC, ARSM. Professor Phil Harris is the Executive Director of the Business Research Institute (BRI) and Westminster Chair of Marketing at the University of Chester He was previously Professor of Marketing at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand and was a past chair of the Department. Phil has taught across the marketing and management spectrum but has a research focus on Political and Societal Marketing especially Branding, Corporate Reputation, Corporate Responsibility, Lobbying, Business Marketing and Public Affairs Management. He was previously Co-Director of the Centre for Corporate and Public Affairs at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School.
