Come and Join Us at the University of Chester Talent Show Final!The University of Chester Talent Show 2019 held its first auditions on Wednesday 20th November at Parkgate Road Campus, where performers displayed their wonderful talents such as singing, dancing and musical instruments.Six groups of performers made their way to the Final, which will take place on:Wednesday 4th December 2019 at 6:00pm, at Molloy006 Parkgate Road Campus.The Show is organised by the Business Research Institute China Centre, with support from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The six groups of performers will all compete for the top three places at the Final.We will start at 6:00pm with a drama performance by students from the Queen’s School Chester as our guests.The Final Auditions are open to all University of Chester staff…

Eight Visiting Students from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (SUST), China, attended their Farewell Ceremony on Monday the 11th of November 2019 at Churchill House, Queen’s Park Campus. The students were welcomed by Professor Phil Harris, Executive Director of Business Research Institute China Centre (BRICC) and their tutor representatives Dr. Phil Smith and Emma Simpson who gave welcome speeches, congratulating them on their achievements and giving them best wishes for their return to China. On April 12th, a delegation headed by Vice Chancellor Tim Wheeler and Business Research Institute Executive Director Phil Harris of the University of Chester visited Shaanxi Normal University.They were received by SNNU president You Xuqun and vice president Ren Xiaowei at the Administration Building on Chang’an campus. You Xuqun welcomed the guests and briefed them about the university. He said that  British Higher Education was renowned for its high quality and its emphasis on undergraduate education and practice in undergraduate tutorial system were valuable experience for other universities. The ​China Centre of the University of Chester hosted a delegation of Dezhou University from Shandong Province in east China, which marks another successful education partnership programme between Chinese universities and the University of Chester. In addition to signing up MOU, Professor Shengcun Zhao, President of Dezhou University opened the Centre for Cultural Exchange office at the Launch ceremony. Zhao said that Dezhou University would like to send more teachers and students to Chester and would also welcome Chester’s staff and students to visit China for academic exchange activities in the foreseeable future. Chester Chinese Students and Scholars Association Basketball Match

Chinese students studying at Bangor and Chester took part in a basketball match held on March 23th in the sports hall at the University of Chester’s Parkgate Road campus. The match was organised by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) of Chester and UoC China centre, supported by the CSSA of Bangor University.This first collaboration with Bangor’s CSSA has been a great success. The two sides established close cooperation before the match with pre-event publicity and have laid a good foundation for future cooperative projects between the CSSA of both universities. After a fierce competition, the students from Bangor University won the competition 58-30.
